Visa Approved but now pending for review

I'm very sad today and I'm glad I found this forum.

I had my interview last September 12, 2011 in US Manila Embassy. Everything went fine and never really had any problem. They only asked for my CEMAR which I had with me and gave to the initial interview.

My final interview was with the american woman and she was really nice, just 2-3 questions and she said "congratulations your visa is approved".

This is the 7th day since I had my interview, the girl I met in USEM already got her visa last Monday. So I decided to call 2go and they said they don't have my visa so far so I called the US Manila Embassy, talked to a female and I told her my visa was approved and never really asked for any documents at all.

She said that the visa is approved for issuance but the CO put it in pending review and did not note anything on whats to verify. She also said to call next week.

This is very frustrating for me and my husband.

Do any of you experience this kind of situation?

You were approved and you will get your visa, but the Embassy first wants to review something regarding your case. Hang in there.

Hi Louie & Emily,

CEMAR is issued if you are married and CENOMAR is if your are single. Just bring one copy. :)

Is CEMAR and marriage certificate is the same? I also got cenomar in case they asked for it..

Dont worry you will get your visa, some received their visa 3 weeks or a month even they were told that they were approved during the interview.

it is not the same. If you are married then they will issue a cemar not cenomar.

I think it has something to do with my medical cause I had my medical in advanced around June and my interview is September. I passed the medical anyway. So I think they are still waiting for St. Luke. I'm not sure but thats the only thing I can think of since we dont really have any complication or problem with our papers. The interview really went well and no additional documents was asked besides from my CEMAR.

My husband mother passed away around end of June that's why we were able to file our papers in NVC by first week of July and was completed before the end of the same month, that's why we have a September interview.

I remember that my number was called in windows 43 asking if St. Luke gave me an envelope. I said no, they probably thought I undergone sputum test. I shown my passport with the sticker and stamp from St. Luke. Then the lady said to just go back to my seat. And it took 2 hours before my number was called for biometrics.

It is 3 months now since my medical.

My question guys is this: My medical will expire on Dec. What will happen if my visa arrived and my medical is expired?
