Home repairs usually aren't that complex. Most of the fixes are pretty easy. Throw a little glue on there and you're good for another 10 years.

So licensing is not necessary? Any janitor from Tlacoachistlahuaca can do it?

We would be more justified in executing criminals, at least they have commited a crime.

Killing criminal USCs isn't justified. Killing illegals, on the other hand, can be justified because they're a threat to our national security.

Finally, a good idea from Slim.

Finally?

I have good ideas all the time. It's just too bad you can't get behind them.

Again who decides who is a criminal? The same justice system who fails to prosecute and/or punish their own?

You're right, the justice system is flawed. What would you suggest? Just make smacking your wife, shotting people and smoking crack legal? The just ice system is flawed because of the people in it, or you are simply jaded because you have been on the wrong side of it. Either way, that doesnt' mitigate criminals place in society.

I would suggest getting back on topic instead of trying to derail the thread with the criminal ####### just to push some buttons on here.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Slim, if you dont' know who is and who is not a criminal, then there are bigger issues at hand. It's fairly simple to decide who is a criminal. Come on, I know you can do it!

I was trying to be on topic. You and Slim just love to insult illegal aliens as being trash, and my point is that there are far more pressing people in this country that are more dangerous and expensive to the rest of the good americans in this country.

Deporting a fraction of illegal aliens will accomplish nothing meaningful in terms of decreasing illegal immigration. Until you eliminate the motivation to come here, there will always be those who will come. No politician wants to make e-verify mandatory, it simply isn't politically expedient. E-Verify should be mandated and paired with prohibitive fines for those who don't, or those who hire illegal aliens. You can pull all the troops home from Afghanistan and Iraq and put them at the border but you will still have illegal aliens able to come here.

Where in my post did I say that you are?

Are you aware that 40-50% of illegal aliens arrived here as tourists and just stayed? No wall or army on the border can deal with that.

Then we need to deal with those ones also. I mean make an example out of them...like really crack down so it sends a message to the rest.

You would really deploy the entire army to patrol metro areas to scoop up illegal aliens? Do you even understand the massive amount of money that would be required to do that? Do you realize that many more would either return or take their place? If you don't address the root of the problem, you are just putting bandaids on broken bones. E-Verify and massive fines will do that, but try getting a politician to introduce that bill, the next minute, they will have 50 tea party branding them an anti-business traitor.

They won't return if you make their deportation a living h*ll so they can spread the word once they get back to banana land. We spend trillions on bs wars, then we can take that money and put it to better use...like taking care of this country and not rebuilding another country. Take that money and start deporting them.

So licensing is not necessary? Any janitor from Tlacoachistlahuaca can do it?

You make a good point. And that is that they are not from La Universidad de Tlacoachistlahuaca.

The people I am referring to that have worked on roofing, plumbing, electrical for me have been white.

The guy who I used to re-build a foreclosure home I got from the ground up was white. Although the supplies were expensive his labor was pretty much $3,000 for taking out the floors, counter tops, vanities, light switches, fans, trimming around all doors, building an extra room, painting, electrical, new toilet, new bath tub and surround, mirrors, medicine cabinets, etc...

He did it all with him and his brother. And it took 3 weeks to build from the ground up making a house that looked like a pile of trash brand new. The people that rented out said they didn't have to look any further, it was sparkling clean...

And what I've found is that if you look at 1 task....Say a roof repair...For $500....They have a skill that I don't have...But what I have found is that it really isn't that hard if you watch them do it. It takes a few minutes and it's done. A B C. $500 to them. In other words, yes, it is a rip off, and yes, pretty much any janitor can do it. Even those from Tlacoachistlahuaca.
