Why not take the troops we have around the world and put them there? That'd keep the free jobs program going, keep the contractors busy, and simultaneously take care of the problem.

Minimum wage is not the only law being violated. OSHA laws. Workmans comp laws. Just to name two. Workman's comp premiums in Vermont for roofers right now are about 60% of payroll! You apy a guy $10 per hour and you pay the state $6 per hour. If the worker is injured he has an income (66% of the past 6 months gross) to cover his family and payment of all related medical expenses. An illegal alien will save you 60% on payroll and too bad for them if they get hurt.

Eliminate the economic advantage not by shooting illegals but by "shooting" (so to speak) any US employer that will hire them. For what reason would they come if there is no one that will take the risk of hiring them?

As Danno stated you don't understand illegal immigration at all. You think they're paid $4 an hour under the table. I tried to educate you that they have fake green cards and paperwork and are hired LEGALLY...Taxes come out. They are paid by check.

Home repairs usually aren't that complex. Most of the fixes are pretty easy. Throw a little glue on there and you're good for another 10 years.
