UPON CHECKING ON HOW VJ MEMBERS HAVE DONE IT, IS...TO CALL US EMBASSY (MANILA) IF THEY ALREADY HAVE OUR CASE W/C WAS SENT FROM NVC AND IF THEY SAY "YES" AND THEY HAVE ENCODED IT IN THEIR SYSTEM...THEN, THAT WOULD BE THE DAY WHERE I COULD GO TO THE NEAREST BANK TO PAY FOR OUR VISA? NO NEED FOR LETTER INSTRUCTING US THAT WE CAN NOW PAY OUR VISA AND SCHEDULE OUR INTERVIEW? (CAUSE THIS IS THE CONCERN OF MY FIANCE...WE THOUGHT HAVING A LETTER FROM THE EMBASSY IS THE ONLY SIGNAL TO HAVE TO BE ABLE TO START SCHEDULING FOR INTERVIEW) PLEASE CLARIFY MY THOUGHTS ON THE FACTS I GATHERED...THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING TIME TO ANSWER...BEEN SUCH HELP...GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

With the MNL case number, you can pay the fee and call the embassy to schedule the interview, unless something has changed recently.

yes, we did have our case number starting w/ MNL+10digit number got it last Sept 12...so you mean, now we can pay the visa fee and schedule for interview? what about NVC sending our file first to USA embassy (manila)? would i need to wait for that first so that the embassy could encode it to their system? cause i have read some reviews and post here that they can't schedule an interview without the embassy encoding their case in their system.

Unless something changed within the last month, you can go ahead and pay the visa fee and make sure you have your passport with you. Tell the BPI agent

you are paying for a K-1 visa fee which is currently 15,050 pesos. Make sure you keep the receipt. Wait a day and schedule online for your interview. Make

sure you leave enough time between your interview date and medical. For medical, you can register on the SLEC's website and fill out the registration

electronically. This will save you a couple of hours. Medical exam is a walk in basis and I heard that mid week is best.

We got our case # July 28 and by August 19, we had visa in hand and we got back to San Francisco September 2. You can get it done as fast as you want it done.
