Hi I had my K 1 visa interview on 17th Aug in mumbai and they given me white slip 221g to submit documents like guestlist and marriege booking and payment receipt. I dont understand why they ask for such kind of documents. If they not given visa in time then we will lose money of marriege bookings and other kind of payments. Anyway I submitted all document on 30th Aug and after one week they fiven my passport back and said my case is on administrative process. I m very much sad and frustrated because we dont have any deadline for waiting.

Does any visa journey member have any idea how much time they will take for administrative process?

My fiancée has been on the AP for the last 4 weeks. There is no time limit to conclude the AP. It could take from few days up to a year. There is a better chance of approval after the AP. It is more than frustrating to wait without a time limit.

Good luck

Thanks for your response. We have a attorney, do you you think is there any way we can push them to work faster on our case?

Wait until the embassy contact you. There is nothing you can do. At least you have to wait 4-8 weeks. That's the time frame that the DOS projects for the conclusion, however; this depends on the case too.

Good Luck

AP takes as long as it takes... no senator, congressman or attorney can make it move any faster... the embassy checks what they need to check before they issue visa..so when the embassy is satisfied they will issue visa...all you can do is wait and take notes when you call DOS for information but don't be surprised if they dont tell you anything but pending... you will be out soon im sure...

I agree with other posts, don't waste your money on attorney.

If you have extra, please save or use/plan to use for your future.

Congressman/woman or Senator office can do better job than an attorney for AP case.

Thanks for your response. We have a attorney, do you you think is there any way we can push them to work faster on our case?
