yay globe congratulations! Have a WONDERFUL journey....you made it wooot :)

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

Thanks and yeah I did finally make it :-) !!! Such a relief to finally be here.

I was told by the immigration officers that the EAD was stamped on the back of the white piece of paper they put in your passport.. all I can see is a smudged red stamp with an expiry date 3 months away written by hand. Guess that must be it.

Spent the weekend shopping for bits and pieces I needed, setting up a joint bank account and tomorrow I have my driving test so that I can get a USA drivers lisence and be included on my finaces insurance - wish me luck!!

Glad to hear you here!!! Just curious, how long did it take you to go through immigration at the airport? Thanks for the update on the EAD stamp, good news! In trying to get an "official" confirmation that JFK gave the stamp, I phoned USCIS and they told me that it's impossible to get a stamp anywhere, it's not done, and the girl even asked her supervisor

Yeay - let me know.....we'll be there!

Took 1 and a half hours from disembarking, going through immigration and security and getting to the gate for my next flight. Security was real quick... probably 1 to 1.15 was the time spent on immigration ... mind you I did manage to end up LAST in the queue (line for you americans). If you want to be faster remember to reserve a seat near the front of the plane ;-) I had 5 hours between flights so was not worried.

PS passed the drivers test so now have a NC license less than a week after entering he country..not bad! They accepted my K1 and made the license valid only for the length oftime the K1 is valid... I will have o renew it in Feb next year.

If you get AOS and/or EAD approved, you can have that restriction removed from your license
