k1 Work authorization link

Hello VisaJourney Family

Can you please check out form #3(SSN K-1 Authorization: ) on this link http://www.visajourney.com/content/otherforms

and explains if i can work when i have a SSN card, or if i still need to apply (right away) for the EAD and the AOS ???

as i understood, after the civil wedding, i need to apply for the AOS and the EAD (or apply for the EAD first but it will be only valid for 90 days, mind as well just applying for both form at the same time) and just wait for my EAD card to start working, a waiting period of about 3 months :s...kinda long.

I will be living in Hawaii.

If there is a way for me to start working right away, let me know

No it is not legal for you to work without an EAD or green card.

You must file AOS and get either EAD or GC to start working.

You do need EAD to work. However you can get SSN without having EAD, but it will not grant you work authorization.

You are only legal to work with an EAD card or Green Card. It has already been said.

You are referencing documents from the soical security department and they have no authority to autorize you to work. There job is to assign social security numbers to people ( including newborns ) and tracking reported wages to issue benefits against. Becuase of the ways their internal rules read they are only supposed to issue SS numbers to aliens that are "work authorizd" so they list K1 as "work authroized" so that they can give SS numbers to K1 entrants. Immigration is the people that say what aliens can do what things on their visas and immigration says K1 people need and EAD card ( no passport stamps from airports or notes from your best friend) to be able to work.

Processing for EAD takes about 3 months in hawaii, does it mean no work for this period of time ?? can it take less time to be process ??

What did you guys do while waiting for your EAD ??

How about if you have a job offer, can it speed up the process ???
