I went t BPI paid the amount of Php15,400.00 they only asked me for my passport number which I gave. I called the US Embassy in Manila however the lady I spoke to doesnt have access to check if the letter was already sent. What do you think I should do? Wait for the letter or go ahead and schedule the appointment?

You paid your visa fee...excellent...now you're rolling!

You should go ahead and schedule your interview. You don't need to wait for the letter from the Embassy. If you want to read the letter from the Embassy, I posted a link to it already in a previous post. So did another poster.

You should start thinking about your medical at St. Lukes malapit na.

Thanks Tahoma... One more thing, so to be clear, you don't actually need the letter for eligibility as proof or something that you need to present to the embassy to schedule the interview? or at St. Luke's? I saw here My link that you can bring only your NOA2 letter and NVC letter showing your MNL case no.

I'm confused... Please clear things for me...

Walang anuman po. :)

You are correct. You don't need the eligibility letter in order to complete your medical or to schedule an interview at the Embassy.

In order to be admitted to St. Lukes for your medical, you need your NOA2 and your MNL case number. Some VJers have reported that you don't even need your NVC letter with your MNL case number on it, only your MNL case number.

In order to make your interview appointment with the Embassy, you need your MNL case number.

Best wishes for a smooth and speedy visa journey. :star:

Made my appointment today for the interview.... Pretty excited... Do you have a rough estimate around how long from the interview date will I get my Visa? So that my fiancee can plan a trip to me, so that we can go to the US together.

Most people get their visa within a couple of weeks.

Guys good news... Already have the Manila Case Number, it was sent on Sept. 27... So what next for me? What should I and my fiancee prepare (for)?

when is your interview. I would strongly strongly advise you not to buy any tickets until you have Visa in hand Things happen
