I think part of the problem some men have is that when women stop playing by the rules in divorce they continue to play by the rules and expect the system to work. It doesn't and if she stopped play fairly why should you? Take the gloves off and go to the mattresses. IMHO.

God forbid the day comes when I have to get a divorce but I will sit my wife down and explain to her if she plays fair and honest, I will play fair and honest. If she tries to game the system, lie and cheat I will take the gloves of and ANYTHING will be fair game. Trust me I have a devious mind and can think of new ways to make your life a living hell.

When a woman comes in crying about how horrible her husband is and how she and the kids need to get out yet he controls all the money and there's nothing she can do - what do you expect the judge to do?

I don't think it's about men wanting to throw other men under the bus or the preconceived notion tht the mother is bad. What it has everything to do with is the story mom comes in with and the story dad comes in with.

What I expected to happen but didn't, was to see these 'stories' backed up with evidence, not just by stereotype! And if the judge does as you have done, make assumptions based on stereotype, and you have negative stereotypes of fathers, as you seem to have, then you are very much throwing decent men and their family and financial futures UNDER THE BUS because you are willing to believe unsubstantiated sob stories!

Additionally, it's rare for folks to keep their cool in divorce court. Anger is never a good emotion to show in court and typically, anger is shown by the men. When a sobbing woman who is "just concerned for the welfare and future of her kids" is pitted against an angry "no good" husband... who's going to win that one?

You may not drink or do drugs yet somehow you were married to a woman who lined up her divorce attorney prior to your marriage? If I was you I'd blame that on some kind of chemical!

When the judge has all the evidence in front of him/her as in tax returns, bills, pay stubs, mortgage loan, etc... then you would think it would come down to numbers...I mean it should be black and white. Especially when the soon to be ex wife just received her bacholors degree in business and computer management from a decent university. But no...that's too simple. Gotta love it when the judge gives her d@mn near everything and then fails to explain why, and when you ask her why she says something stupid like; "That's my decision, you can always appeal".

And when you ask her if she made it past elementary school math, she gives you a contempt of court.

Typical arrogant judge who expects to be treated like god. And that's also why they need security in court houses. These Judges have no respect and deserve none.
