OMG, freaking out? YES!!! can't sleep, breaking out for the first time in YEARS, not sleeping (did I mention that already?) and can't for the life of me find my fu@*ing long form birth certificate for my son and his dad's REAL death certificate!!! I DO have the normal birth certificate and the death certificate from the funeral home but need to turn my house upside down to find those forms!!!

OMG, I don't think I have the entire copy of my fiance's passport, tbh, I don't think I have the photocopy of his info page.... gotta check.... (OCD much anyone??)

I have a really really big pile of papers to bring with me. It's humongous. Ridiculous, ginormous. What can I say??? Facebook chat emails 4 pages to one sheet of paper... still too many pages. 11 months of itemized phone calls. (thank god BELL has a 20$ per month unlimited North America plan or I'd be in debtor's prison, @ an average of 2-3k worth of phone calls per month.... um, yeah.... proof of a relationship??

13 photos of us together in various places and with friends and family. Plane stubs. Confirmation of moving truck rental. Confirmation of wedding venue booking. Copy of wedding invitations. copy of wedding ring receipt. (getting married? you BET CHA!!!)

okay, so, did I mention I was freaking out??

yeah, got to get some sleep and apply something to these spots on my skin....

okay, so who's packing for the move? (yes, next freak out.... gotta get it all in gear and only have TWO weeks when I get back to do it in...) anyone know a cheap dumpster rental service??? easier to toss than to pack after all....

Our K1 was approved!!! Make sure you go early. We got there around 8:15am and had to wait on and off unlike 2:45pm.

We had registered for DHL when we sent out packet 4, do we need to do anything additional to register to receive the passport?

Right now when logging into the csc visa site it just says:

Appointment Information

You currently have no appointment scheduled.

DHL Information [Edit]

DHL Branch: Dorval

DHL Branch Address: ...

Then has four links to:

Schedule Appointment

Submit Documents to Consular Section

Doesn't it show your DHL location on your account information? IF it does...then you are good to go!! You gave a phone number when you entered that information and they will call you when it arrives there, or you chose to have them deliver it to your place for some extra money. Call them if you are unsure.

Congrats!

I'm in Montreal at my hotel, Place des Arts, on Sherbrooke West. Place des Arts is right behind us and we can see all the lights from the balcony, it's really cool! The hotel room is really huge too, we have our own kitchen and a separate bedroom, really really nice. Ceilings have to be 12 feet high at least! We have our medical this afternoon, it's a 4 minute walk, so we're gonna head out and look around for a bit!

We had our interview last Wednesday and still no waybill number showing on usvisa-info.com. We were planning on renting a truck and driving back together but I have to be back at work on Monday so if I don't hear from them soon I'm going to have to leave my fiancee here in Montreal :(. One option we may have is for me to rent the moving truck and do the 23 hour drive on my own. Does anyone know if they would let me over the boarder with all of her stuff if she does't come along. If that were to work then she could fly to the US when she gets her passport back. If we can't do that I'm not sure what to do. I just burned all the vacation time from work that I have.

Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

I wish we could just go to the %$%&@#$# consulate again, wait all day long in the waiting room and pick up the passport there.

Don't think they let you bring her stuff across without her, lol, not even the movers can do that! Maybe your work will give you an extension? Family emergency type deal?
