Some of you filed for your VN bride before she got here... how difficult was it? Anyone ever file for stepson?

Getting a ITIN for the wife was a piece of cake. I sent in her passport, and a letter stating we wanted to be treated as US citizens for the entire tax year. We both signed the letter. I had her number in less then 2 weeks and our refund back in 4 weeks.

I dont remember reading anything about a step child.

saw that.. I got the W7 form and am filling it out... can use his passport.. the thing I noticed was:

"A dependent or spouse of a U.S. citizen/resident alien"
