Hi all, i just have a little question. I got my interview letter and my interview is on 18th october in chennai. I am from hyderabad. I am scheduled to get my medical done on 26th sep. Now is there something else that i need to do like go to VFS to pay some courier fees or submit some documents or copies before the interview or do i just prepare for the interview and prepare my file and show up with my sealed medical report? Some of the posts on the forums are confusing me. Do i submit the courier fees beforehand at the VFS or i simply carry all my stuff to the interview? Am i missing a step here? Please help. Thanks

I too am from Hyd with interview at Chennai and we have a thread Chennai bound where these were addressed.

VFS clarified to me that we can submit any required documents (courier fee of 387/-, 3 passport photos, copy of passport (first and last pages), copy of interview letter) and any other documents asked to be submitted at any of the VFS servicing the region under Chennai consulate, which includes VFS, Hyderabad. You can either submit the medical report at VFS or take it to the interview.

There are case where the candidates didn't have to submit any additional documents and hence had been to interview directly and then after interview had gone to VFS, Chennai and paid the courier fee and collected the passport/ visa.

So i guess its ok if i don't do anything right now. The list of documents mentioned in the interview letter, all of mine or ok and i don't think i have to send any more. So now i will get my medical done, keep the report safe. Arrange all of the required photocopies, evidence of marriage blah blah, and go to the interview. Then after interview go to VFS in chennai and pay whatever courier fees and that's it right.... Nothing more left to do i guess..

You can do that or you can also go to VFS Hyderabad and submit the courier fee, copy of passport (first and last pages), copy of interview letter, 3 photos & medical report at VFS Hyderabad. Go with passport and another copy of interview latter.

I am planning to submit at VFS, Hyd and just take the Medical to interview (may decide to submit medical also, if is safe). I am waiting for feedback from Ganesh86, who will be submitting the medical at VFS, HYD around Sept end to make my decision.

Aha, and what exactly is the benefit of submitting these in Hyd beforehand? I mean are we sure if it safe? And when is your medical if you don't mind me asking?

That is very reason why I am planning to submi everything at VFS, Hyderabad except for the medical report.

In case VFS, Hyderabad looses anything, I will still be fine, as I have medical report with me and also have the proof of paying the courier fee and I will also carry additional photos and copies of passport and interview letter.

This way, the CO at Chennai can not delay my process stating that I should first submit all the documents at VFS or..... (such things happened in Delhi consulate and hence I want to be cautious)

As Navyk said, I will give everyone feedback once my spouse completes her medical exam in Hyderabad by end of this week to early next week. She will then visit VFS office no later than 27th of this month or 26th. For now we are clear that my spouse will be submitting her medical report, copy of interview letter, 3 passport size pictures and copy of passport(first and last pages) unless we feel it is not safe to submit medical with VFS.

You can only submit documents to VFS no earlier than 10 working days before interview ....also note they will not accept documents if less than 7 days are left for the interview

so we have a small windows of 8-10 days before interview .
