Hello All,

I hope that this will be helpful to everyone. Here is what happened at the medical clinic at Juarez this morning.

My fiancee and I got up at 5:00 am this morning. Well, I had to nudge her to wake up. We walked to the medical clinic at the corner, "CMI." Just before getting to the clinic, there were many "coyotes" asking to help. We just kept on walking. We were there at 5:45 am. I counted the people in front of us. There were already 22 people waiting outside. :o There were more inside. Then a woman went down the line. She was asking how many people are here in our group for the medical exam. My fiancee said only one. The woman gave my fiancee a "Post-It" note with the number 37 and a little scribbling. I think it was her initials but I am not sure. While we waited, many more people started coming by car and taxi. The line got longer. Then she told a group of us to walk to the other clinic. I guess they wanted to distribute the amount of applicants evenly. The group of us walk to the other clinic. There was already a line of people but not as long. We started a second line against the wall. The existing line was against the fence. The staff asked anyone accompanying the applicant to step out of the line and wait at a different part of the clinic. I told my fiancee that I would return to the hotel.

If anyone is going for their medical exam soon, please get there early. The line gets long fast. In a few seconds it tripled in lenght. :wow: I believe it should be an "In and Out" mission. That's my Army thinking. I think the sooner you get in, the sooner you'll get out. :)

I will keep send more updates.

Here are some pictures of the clinic, ASC, Consulate area before your appointment and Consulate. I was doing some homework while my fiancee is getting her medical exam. I was also killing time by walking around. In the early morning the weather is cool. But at 8:00 am it was getting hot. The sun was burning me. It was difficult to stand in the sun.

I asked about the appointment at the Consulate area in the plaza. The young woman told me first to get finger printing at the ASC. Then go to the office in the plaza 30 minutes or so before your Consulate interview. There are many people here who are confused about the sequence.

I felt sad for this young couple with a man. Maybe the older man is the father. The woman was pregnant and all three look confused about where to go. I saw many "coyotes" there. They are like wolves amongst the sheep. The "coyote" just picked them out of the crowd. He started to talk to them and then guided them to the ASC. When he left to talk with another group of people, I told them to be careful with him. Fortunately, the young man spoke english. I explained to the younger man about what was happening. They asked me if I knew the man who was talking to them. I told them no. They seemed grateful. It would have been sad to see them get "fleeced." On my walk back to the Consulate, I saw other people being escorted to the ASC by "coyotes." It was a sad sight. I took a look at their ID badges. The badges look offical. With a closer look, it is just a photograph with some nonsense. Where I work, wearing an ID is normal. I just imagine the people who are not use to this. These "coyotes" with badges must seem very offical. I wonder why the Consulate does not post big signs about these "coyotes." Well, they must feed their families also.

It is passed 11:00 am and I am in the hotel lobby waiting for my fiancee to finish her medical exam. This afternoon I we will go to the ASC for her finger printing.

I hope this post has been helpful.

Well, my fiancee´s medical when okay. She told me that they gave her a new number at the second medical clinic. Her number was 119. This was before 6:00 am. It took 6 hours at the medical clinic. :o She was told to return at 4:00 pm for her results. We also have an appointment at the ASC at 3:50 pm. I hope we can finish the finger printing fast. Then we can get her medical results. After that we will be done for the day. :)

She is napping now. :sleepy:

Do you remember the name of the clinic they sent you to once CMI was full? Was CMI the big brown buildiing? I know its been several years since this happened, so i totally understand if you can't remember.

Also, how did you go about making your appointment at ASC for fingerprints? I'm sure I can find it on the site, but i'm going through a lot of info now that we just go our interview letter, and i'm just so excited to get the process/info organized.

Thanks

tom

Hello Tom,

The second medical clinic is Servicios Medicos. In my posting from September 19, 2011 at 12:35 pm, I included pictures of the places. The second medical clinic is next to CMI.

Please look at the photo of the ASC. The website is www.usvisa-info.com and is on the front entrance of the ASC. I believe this was how I made the appointment for the finger printing. I scheduled the appointment based on our interview at the Consulate. This is the sequence. First it was the medical exam in the morning. Then ASC finger printing appointment in the afternoon. The next day was the interview at the Consulate. The day of the interview, you will need to go back to the same area of the ASC. But it's at the corner where you enter the plaza. It's called the Consulado (See photo from previous posting.). You will check-in there before your interview. Then they will escort you to the Consulate for your interview. All is a short walk from the Consulate, the ASC, medical clinics, Denny's, Wendy's, shopping mall and hotels. They are all on the same road.

I would recommend to get a hotel room within walking distance from the Consulate. It works well to rest and eat between appointments. Also, don't schedule all on one day. Plan on waiting. We got out of the ASC fast because we had to return to the medical clinic for the results before it closed. The person at the ASC let my "then" fiancee go ahead of the line.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
