Hello All

Please let me know if this is sufficient for I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person

" My fiancé Sai and I met on May 2011 in India.

Our families knew each other earlier. They had met in Nellore, India .

My parents gave me details of Sai's alliance in March 2011. I interacted with Sai over the phone initially. I was interested in Sai’s alliance and flew to India in May 2011 to meet her. We liked each other and got engaged on June 2011. At that time I was still an Indian Citizen in the process of becoming an American Citizen. I have attached the Indian passport stamp of my visit to India on May 2011 and also my travel itenary in Emirates – Eticket booking.

I received my Citizenship on August 2011 and would like to file for Fiance visa for Sai. We would like to get married soon. Due to my work constraints, we have decided to get married in USA.

Thanks for considering this application for K-1 Visa for my Fiance Sai"

Please let me know if this is sufficient.

Thanks

If I were you I would put as much detail into the explanation of meeting in person. Type it up on Microsoft word and attach it the the I129f. Send pictures of your engagement, passport size photos for both you and your fiancee, passport copies of both of you, affidavits from her family in India stating the engagement took place, notarized letters from your parents/family here sating the engagement too place, keep all phone records, skype logs, or emails, print them and send them with i129f. The embassies in India are very strict when it comes to k1 visas, I just went through the whole process successfully, and make sure that if the engagement was at a banquet hall or hotel that you get a statement from that place stating so and so were engaged here on so and so date, also type up the fiancee letter of intent stating that you will marry her within 90 days of her arrival into America, and she needs to type the same.

This is too long and sounds like an evolution of relationship letter. Keep that question brief to about 1 or 2 sentence. You can research more about an evolution of relationship letter to include in your I-129f package and write an updated one prior to the interview so your fiancée can bring to the interview.

Hi Thanks for the explanation.

1) I am sending pictures of both of us together. They are not engagement pictures.

The reason is the engagement pictures look too grand - more like a marriage with the fiance having mehendi etc. Would it still be okay to send ? Please let me know.

2) Could you also please let me know how should the affidavit from the parents look like? Can you please share an example. Would it be okay for my fiance to take those when called for the interview, or would it be better for me to send it along with the application.

3) I am also sending about 10 email conversations. Is that sufficient?

4) Phone logs - do not show the India number since it was a calling card used. Can i mention that is was calling card and hence it has a US number.

Thanks for your response
