Got in contact with the congressman for our district. His aide asked for the privacy release. Faxed that over today.

It has been one week since we got the conflicting message from the level-2 CSRs (one who said it was mailed Aug 19, the other who states it was never produced) and hopefully the congressman can help chug things in the right direction for us

We had our "card production" notification 2 weeks ago and still nothing on hand. I do understand that I still have time before hitting the panic button. Wondering , how reliable are the status updates when it comes to USPS ship notification? Did all you guys get updates when the card was shipped!

The USCIS confirmed that all green cards should go out with a tracking number. Calling the 800 # and asking 'I would like to escalate this call to a level 2 agent to get my tracking number" will get you the USPS tracking number.

Other than that, a majority of people have stated that you get an email/text (if you signed up for it) when the USPS picks it up and when it is delivered to your address.

The Congressman's office is stating that they were told we needed to wait 2-3 months after approval to get the GC, I politely responded otherwise. Will try to escalate this some more, see what happens.

You are putting a good fight! I got another email with same message that the card production was ordered and this time the date is 20 days later then the date on the first email. I guess I have to wait another 30 days for the card  Oh well as long as the card is made and sent, i am ok with the wait. But it does get frustrating at times.

Dude, so the card came in today, but it came with a i-90 and a letter stating that they made an error and we will get a new GC at no charge.

They put that the GC was issued in 08/2007 and expires 08/2009 ... I guess someone forgot that it is 2011
