Hello all!

I always appreciate everyone's help and look forward to the day when I can be of more help here in this forum.

My sweetheart from China and I have been e-mailing every day and talking on the phone once a week, and I want to chat with her on "qq". I have logged onto the site and have a user name and password, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to begin to start a chat with her. Can anyone give me a simple step-by-step direction how to do this? I'm (50) and also an engineer, but this "skill set" must have "passed me by".

Thanks everyone and God Bless!

Eric

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Just a heads up I use qq English version. When I close the program and try to reopen it, it says the program is already running. It does this on both my computers. I do the control alt del sequence and click on task manager. The close the qq processes. After that I can then open the program and sign in.

if you're using windows vista or win 7 then closing qq by clicking on the x in the upper right corner isn't really closing it, just minimizing it. The first time you do this I believe it gives a message in chinese that it doesn't really close the program. If you look in the lower right of the desktop screen, down by the clock and date, there should be an up arrow. click on this and see if the QQ penguin is showing. If so you can click on that to reopen it. You can also drag the QQ penguin to the task bar just next to the clock and then it will always be there when QQ is running.
