My fiance was supposed to be interviewed today in Kabul, but because if the terrorist attack on September 13, they canceled our appointment, only appointments September 14, 15, and 18 got canceled. This is the second time our appointment is being canceled. So yesterday US embassy called my fiance and told him that his appointment is canceled and that they will call him later for a new appointment.. So my fiance is in Kabul staying at hotel all worried and confused. They didn't even tell him to go back or stay they just told him that whenever they made a new appointment they will call him. I don't know why this is happening to me, is it because of my bad luck?? I am so stressed out.. :crying: Do you guys know how long will it take to obtain a new appointment?, has anyone been rescheduled before?

THank you

Sorry to hear. i can just imagine how costly that . appointments are cancelled all the times when there is an unrest. This benefits the US/other officials and applicants at the embassy. To avoid targeting a US post this is done which we should understand. The response time could depend on how long the people of the country carry on the antics. Oftentimes as a courtesy to applicants they might schedule interviews at near by locations if it continues for a long time.. uncertain if this could be requested via email.

I'm sure at this point they are just trying to look out for everyone's well being. It was said that people in the lobby who were waiting on visa's were shot.

well that was on September 13, and now its 18. The Embassy re-opened on September 17, so they shouldn't have canceled our appointment, to tell you the truth I don't see the reason why they canceled it. :bonk:
