Yep. I included a "wall to wall" when that was available (not anymore now it's "show friendship") showing the chats between tony and I over time. Never had a problem with that. Great idea! I might steal that one for ROC if that's okay :) I'm definitely going to do the "show friendship" thing. And also maybe print his wall where my family members have said stuff and also MSN chats with my mum/siblings/friends about Tony. Certainly can't hurt!

It's not evidence that there was an actual wedding ceremony that is important. The marriage certificate is proof that the wedding occurred.

It is evidence of co-mingling of lives that is important. A circle of friends demonstrating awareness of the two persons living as a married couple is one piece of the evidence pie that ought to be presented. Financial co-mingling is what is examined more closely when determining a bona fide relationship.

Yes that is a good idea, we did that also, and showed printed screen shots of out congrats from friends. We also took pics to show that his family was on my FB page as my family, aunts, nieces, nephews, etc to show his family knows of marriage. I also enclosed chats with his family to show we communicate, as Egypt can be a tough place to interview, and with the closeness of family there, We do have pics of our wedding reception with some family and friends. It cant hurt....... We also enclosed a copy of out joint bank account in Egypt.

Best wishes in your journey.

Thanks for the clarification, we do have our marriage certificate to show our marriage did occur legally in Ethiopia, the facebook comments and replys I wanted to add just to show awareness of our marriage from family and friends (just to show co mingling), but since we got married on 9/1/11, we haven't opened up a bank account together yet, is this going to hurt us? I've sent my husband money via western union, but thats it...we intend on getting a joint bank account in the future but for now, we wanted to submit our I-130 with wht we currently have to get it going...any other tips? we appreciate the help, thanks!!

You should have at least ONE of the items mentioned here:

Note: Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage

The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage. They list examples of acceptable evidence as:

1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or

2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or

3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; or

4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; or

5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or

6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union.
