Hi All,

My Fiancee and I are eager because we feel this is the month we will be called to the embassy for our k-1 visa appointment.

So I have been monitoring the list of scheduled IV appointments website since tuesday, refreshing it every couple of minutes :bonk:

According to the site, its updated for the new month the 15th of every month. So the 15th was thursday, and now its saturday. grrrr. still no change, no new appointments on the website.

Anybody else waiting for their appointment to pop up for Bogota?

Am I reading your timeline correctly? Your case was received by the consulate in May? Your interview should have been last July.. There are Colombian K-1s that finished months after you that have an interview set up.. Have you returned the Packet 3 information yet? You timeline does not show that step as complete and they will not give you an appointment without it...

Look at my timeline below.. I received my NOA2 a month after you. The problem with the NVC delay happened after you got a NOA2 so you should have gained a month there and you did not have do do the NVC hop so another 3 weeks.. Plus the K-1s are scheduled by the consulate and tend to get them a month earlier that the IR-1/CR-1s anyway..

The October interviews are complete and you should have received an email already if your interview is in October.

Thanks for your reply.

we got package 3 around the middle of june. We had some paperwork to get ready, so we did not return it until July 15th.

I emailed the embassy last month ( 8/24 ) and asked about and they told me "We received the forms. Your appointment will be scheduled as space becomes available." Which means I dont think we were scheduled for July and missed it.

So I've been waiting to be scheduled and hoped we would be on for October. How sure are you that all October's interviews have been scheduled? And if so, why isnt it on the web?

I'm sure - heard it direct from the NVC. But you really have not checked so who knows you may be on the list..

What do you mean I haven't checked? I've been on the website every ten minutes since last tuesday.

Unless you mean checking with the NVC, which I have not heard of doing, since at this point I thought it was all in the Bogota Embassy's court.

Yeah that is what I meant.. You have not called DOS and they have not updated the embassy site yet so you still may have an October date. I was just saying do not give up all hope - October is done but you don't know if you are not on the list... I thought they would have sent an email though.

I called NVC this morning and they said what I thought: it is now in the embassy's hands.

Is there a contact number for DOS?

DOS is 202-663-1225

press 1, then 0
