Hello VJ'ers :star:

Could anyone pls. let me know their experience at the Vancouver airport as their POE or let me know if you have any idea on what's to be done nor needed to do, to smoothly go through their immigration check/security. Thanks in advance :innocent:

Your POE will NOT be Vancouver. Your Port of Entry will be the first place you land in the UNITED STATES. When my wife came to Vegas (her POE), the plane stopped in Vancouver to change its crew and refuel. You will all de-plane and wait for about 30 minutes before you are allowed back on the aircraft..

NATURALIZATION

02/25/2014 - Eligibility date.

03/03/2014 - N-400 package mailed.

03/11/2014 - Check cashed.

03/14/2014 - NOA received.

04/09/2014 - Biometrics.

04/28/2014 - In-Line for Interview - 6 hours later Interview Scheduled!!

05/02/2014 - Interview Letter received. (Mailed on 29 April)

05/26/2014 - 3 year anniversary.

06/02/2014 - Interview. PASSED!

09/11/2014 - Oath Ceremony.

09/16/2014 - Updated driver licence and registered to vote.

10/08/2014 - Updated Social Security

10/14/2014 - Applied for U.S. Passport

10/27/2014 - U.S. Passport arrived in mail (13 days - DID NOT expedite)

10/30/2014 - Naturalization Certificate arrived in mail (was not folded)

MY IMMIGRATION JOURNEY IS OFFICIALLY FINISHED!!

Unless your talking about the Vancouver in Washington state or you plan on immigrating to Canada...

Lols.. Canada is great but husband is in US :blink: and I'm reading reviews about Vancouver Canada here on VJ as their POE, ehhh.. anyway Thanks guys. :hehe:

Okay, POE is Las Vegas then. Anyone who had that as POE, where is the CBP counter where visa will be checked and yellow envelope will be turned in? Looking at the map of terminal 2, there isn't one listed.

Okay, POE is Las Vegas then. Anyone who had that as POE, where is the CBP counter where visa will be checked and yellow envelope will be turned in? Looking at the map of terminal 2, there isn't one listed.

Do they have direct flights from the Phillipines to Vegas? If not, the POE is the first airport that the plane lands in when it hits the USA. So if that flight hits LA, Frisco, Seattle..whatever first before getting to Vegas that first city the plane lands in will be your POE.

The flight goes from Manila to Vancouver and then to Las Vegas so that makes it the POE. I know there's a counter to process the people coming off of the flights, but I just can't see it on the map. It's no biggie since I'm sure my wife will find it after getting off the plane.

Hi,

I actually posted about flying through Vancouver with my wife earlier this year. She has a 10 yr. green card and the experience was awful for several reasons.

yes, las vegas is a good port of entry. PAL has their own terminal and customs..not crowded at all. you're in and out in no time..good luck!
