Hi everyone!! With your help I was able to get packet 4 and I want to say thank You. My fiance medical appointment is at St. Andrew Hospital on 9/30 and I have some questions pertaining to cost.

How much in Ja $ does it cost for the Medical and if he needs to get any shots how much will that cost.

Also, the $350 for the interview, how much will that equavelent in Ja $ since places changes the US$ differently.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, no one can give you an exact answer to your questions - people have paid anywhere from $15,000 to $26,000 for their medical, depending on what shots he needs - if he can get the shots at a clinic in advance or has proof of his shots it will be cheaper. Same thing with the exchange rate - no one can calculate it for you to the exact amount, it depends on the day and where you change the money.

You stated 350 for the interview, am I missing something? I did not know they had to pay for the VISA interview, I do not see that listed anywhere. I am just curious because, I am planning a trip for Christmas and with saving for the AOS, (when that time comes) the budget is getting tighter and tighter.

Please advise. Thanks.

Hi DandMe, You better save your money for the expense ahead of you.

You going to have to pay for Meds and vaccinations money which is different and $350US for the K visa.

Good luck!!

Just wanted to add that Lance's medical exam was today in MoBay. They gave him 4 immunizations and the total cost including shots was $300.

So maybe $100 for the medical payment and a $200 for his vaccines. Did he already have a vaccination card or he went with no vaccines and these 4 were required of him?

Same question as PrincessBlack, did he have an immunization record and there were only four that he needed without the card? $300 ahhh wish there was a cheaper way!

Awesome!!

You get the medical done AFTER the interview date is set, correct?

And then get the record from the dr to the embassy or they mail it?

And if immunization record is M.I.A., should one be advised to go to a local doctor to get shots for cheap(er)?

You get the medical done AFTER the interview date is set, correct? YESAnd then get the record from the dr to the embassy or they mail it? They will give you a sealed envelope to take over there. Plus when you get your date, they will outline the requirements for medical.

And if immunization record is M.I.A., should one be advised to go to a local doctor to get shots for cheap(er)? Most recommend to wait till medical, some woudl recommend to get shots earlier but depends on the time period left in between. So as not to do anything that would give you a blue slip and cause for your delay.
