Hi to all!

Well, i have a few questions, hope you can help...

1. I am a US citizen, and brought my wife to the US with a K-1 Visa (fiancee visa), she become a permanent resident (green card holder) in July 2010(she got the 10 yrs green card), and she went to Mexico twice already for a month and a half both times, we also are saving her flight tickets, because we know we are going to need them when she applies for citizenship, also I know that if you become a legal resident (green card holder) thru marriage with a US citizen you only have to wait 3 years to become a US citizen, but i heard that you can apply for citizenship if you have already 2 years and half of being a permanent resident.

Is this true? And does any body knows why? I just don't want to mess up things next year when we file for her citizenship.

2. Once she becomes a citizen, we want to bring my parents in-law to the US, they've been here already, they have a tourist visa, and they are planning to come again by the end of this year because our second child is due on january 2012, but my questions are, do we have to file one I-130 for both parents or do we have to file one for each parent, which also means that we have to pay the fee twice, right? one fee for each of them. Also, will they have their interview the same day? And, can we also send both petitions together? (in case we need to send one for each of them), same envelope but separate, you know just to try to schedule their interview at the same day or time if possible, just to save money on going to the consulate twice, and also any idea how long do the process take?

Thanks to all of you in advance for helping us with this...

if more info is needed to answer my questions, please let me know...

Your wife can start the process 90 days before the 3rd anniversary of green card. She qualifies after 3 years. The 90 days is just for getting the paperwork started early.

It's separate petitions for the parents. You can send it in the same envelope, but everything is separate. One may be processed faster than the other. USCIS will separate them into two different cases. They may get interviews on different days. Have them contact the US Embassy/Consulate to change their interview dates if they don't get interviews for the same day when their cases get to that point. It takes 6-12 months on average to complete the process.

hi, if your married and have your permanent resident card you can file for your citizenship n-400 three years minus 90 days, with the 1-130 you need one 1-130 for each person at 420.00 each. thay can be in one envelope but seperate each file. with the righ fee, both parents should be able to go to the interview togather,
