Hi

I've been looking all over for an answer but couldn't seem to find any.

I'm a 20 year old guy from Lebanon, my uncle is a US citizen who sponsored his sister(my mother), now it has been 8 years since he filled the form, he contacted the lawyer couple of days ago and asked him about the status, the lawyer said it will probably take about 2 years to receive the Greencard for me and my mother.

Now there are two problems, the first is that in three days i will turn 21, and I believe I will be then classified as an "Adult" so I will be ineligible. The second problem is that I am physically disabled, and "Dependent", So if my mother received the greencard, she then should have to leave to the United States, and I'm wondering for quite a while where does that leave me ? I've been dreaming for a long time to live the USA , Is there any "Immigration law" that can solve these problems ?. So I hope that someone would be able to answer those questions.

Thank you in advance.

it all depends if you qualify for CSPA or not. If not, then that's something that you're going to have to discuss with your mom. there is nothing she can do for you. she can come here and file for you but the wait is over 8 years. there is no immigration law that can help you, only adjusting through your uncle.

there is no obligation for your mother to come here, so no sympathy from immigration.

Assuming you will age out, why would she continue the process to move to the US?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
