My problem in applying a citizenship is that last june 2007 i was arrested for felony domestic violence spousal abuse and there's some other charges im not sure of and in june 2008 i pleaded no contest of the domestic violence charges, and i got 3 years summary probation, 52 week counseling program, pay restitution fee and the DA drop the rest of the charges. Now i dont know what to write in my n400 application when they asked me about my good moral character. Do i have to only write the DV charges that i pleaded, or do i have to include everything even though the rest of the charges was dismissed and I was only convicted of a misdemeanor and now I succesfully dismiss/expunge my conviction after succesfully completing my probation and counseling and never been in any trouble since then. I am a college student and doing real well with my grades. I dont know if this will be the hindrance of not getting a citizenship. I wanna make sure i got everything covered before i submit my application so they wont think I am lying or withholding important infos. What should I do????

My questions:

1) Can the IO use this to deny my application?

2) Do i have to write down everything even though i wasnt convicted of the other charges?

3) Can I get deported because of what happend?

Disclose everything.. do not withhold any information.. if you do, you will be charged with material misrepresentation and repercussions can be ranging from denied citizenship to being deported and have your LPR status taken away. Don't do that mistake.

It is always best to disclose all the facts about you, even though you were not convicted in some cases. If USCIS finds about it firsthand without your informing them, then it may turn out against your N-400. Your LPR may be revoked and in extreme situations, you can face deportation also. So, go out and confess everything on your form. You may be asked to explain everything during your interview and giving a satisfying explanation will help process your N-400.
