At the visa inteview in Honduras the woman said our packet was the best prepared she has seen and asked how I did it. I told her we used visajourney.com, explained the sample forms, and the helpful/supportive community. She thanked me for the information and said she will start refering people to the site for guidance.

just for the curious ones, heres what I did.

first off make sure all fields in the forms have something, if it is N/A write it.

Got a plastic folder that had 5 sections($3.00 at Walmart), labeled each section as follows.

Section 1: Forms

in front was the checklist they sent, then all of the required forms here. 3 copies of each and an envelop with the phots

Section 2. Official Documents

placed the passports, police report, birth certificates (long form that has parents and grandparents listed for her, for me is parents listed), Stamped divorce decree, etc. here

Section 3. Evidence

Here I placed the photos, hotel receipt, plane boarding pass, Western union receipts, engagement ring receipt, shots from yahoo messenger archive.

Section 4. Supporting Documents

here was my w-2, letter from my employer, taxes

Section 5. Pens and extra copies of documents.

Beginning a month before the interview we would review the common questions. My kids names and ages, when was my divorce, my degrees, where I work, what i do, where will we live, when/where is the wedding, our religions, if we will have children, how/when we met, etc....

After we received the visa, we placed the folder they gave us into the last section and now it is ready to go again at the point of entry when we come to the USA on wednesday

Also as a related note this is a Latin America country so it is difficult to get a visitor visa. We were able to get her sister (who is unmarried, does not own a home) a visitor visa because I sent an invitation letter to her requesting her to help prepare for and attend the wedding. Also letter addressed to the consulate stating I will accept full responsibility and the form for the affidavit of support. They looked at the letters asked how I met her sister, what I do (it said in their letter), where I live (in their letter), and when and where is the wedding (in their letter). After this they verified her application was complete then approved her. She said there were many people there but very few were actually approved, she was approved because I invited her to the wedding so it was considered special reason.
