I suggest to those K1, Cr1 et al needs an NBI who leave in a province and can travel by land to go to Manila and get your NBI here in Manila because in the province it will reall take you for a month becasue they will send it to Manila then from Manila to your province.

Ok just got off the phone with my fiancee. She was part of the group that applied back in July 2011 for an NBI clearance and they said here NBI clearance will not be able till first week of October 2011 due to some computer glitch/upgrade. Someone on the site and various other sources have stated that they got their NBI clearances in one day. She first applied thru Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga and I told her to go the San Fernando branch and inquire if they can process her NBI clearance in one day. They said it will take 35 days! So she didn't reapply for a new NBI clearance and she plans to wait till October till the NBI Clearance comes in... where in the hell can you get a NBI clearance in one day... i swear its a myth!

I'm sorry but she's been trying to get her NBI clearance since July 2011 and its already September 15, 2011 and she still does not have one! I am so pissed off with all the bureaucry that you have to deal with during the visa process.

your fiancee can try to reapply for NBI clearance, instead of waiting for nothing..and getting disapointed

I TRIED MY LUCK LAST JULY...IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE NEWS AND HEAT OF THE NBI THINGY...DID MY RESEARCH THRU THE NET ON WHERE CAN I GET NBI CLEARANCE THE FASTEST...AND LUCKY ME, I READ MOST OF THEIR POST TO GO TO ROBINSONS OTIS IN MANILA, IT IS NEAR THE MAIN NBI OFFICE TAFT, ITS ALONG UN AVENUE, JUST GO STRAIGHT THERE AND YOU CAN SEE ROBINSONS OTIS...I WAS THERE WITH MY BROTHER, HE ALSO TOOK HIS NBI CLEARANCE WITH ME, WE WERE THERE AROUND 5:30AM, WE WERE LIKE THE 10TH&11TH PERSON IN THE FIRST LINE..BUT WE WAITED UNTIL 7AM OR PAST 7AM BEFORE THEY LET US IN THE MALL, AND GOOD THING THERE IS A GUARD GUIDING EVERYONE, AND ALL WAS VERY COOPERATIVE, AND IN LINE GOING TO THE 2ND FLOOR...AND THERE AFTER AN HOUR, WE GOT OUR NBI CLEARANCE...WE WERE FINISHED AROUND 8:30AM....IT WAS REALLY QUICK COZ THEY ARE VERY ORGANIZED AND THE PEOPLE FROM NBI MOVED SO QUICKLY....YOU GUYS CAN CHECK IF THEY ARE STILL ISSUING AT ROBINSONS OTIS, BECAUSE MOST OF THE PEOPLE AT THAT TIME CAME FROM THE MAIN OFFICE OF NBI ALONG TAFT, AND THEY SAID THE LINE THERE WAS WAY TOO MUCH...

Heh, I kinda wish she reapplied, but she already left San Fernando since they told her it will take 35 days. So her plan was to stick with the NBI Clearance coming in on October that she applied for previously.

We cannot wait till October and worried that if we wait that long and the NBI clearance arrives it will have an error on it.

I plan to just tell her to go to Manila. I know she hates the idea, but if thats our only hope to getting it soon then thats what we have to do.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Well, we have the same problem but not really such a great problem tho. Those who applied as of July and is willing to wait until Manila NBI main office get their a** moving straight can wait for not sure how long since their time frame given is not anymore followed :( oh well, typical government thing, what to expect. However, I was told by the personnel in your area that if I want to get the NBI at the same day is to reapply again. The July NBI will still come, just will centuries to wait.

before it usually takes less than a day to get an NBI clearance at almost any province but I guess they revised it already, my fiancee said he will get it after 45 days, before i got it less than a day...we can't do anything with this new process that they have but just gather it the earlist time possible to avoid any delays :star:

I don't think the processing time was revised. as far as I know the processing time in the nbi office here are still the same.

I am a living proof that NBI clearance can be issued in a day (It is NOT a myth).

I just got mine yesterday. I went to Robinson's Otis (i live in qc and had to travel all the way to pandacan just for this paper) around 6 am and left before 9 am. process starts at 8 am and everything goes so fast once it started. i finished in less than 1 hr and came home with my clearance.

and NO. THERE ARE NO MORE NBI CLEARANCE RENEWALS, accdg to NBI people working in that center. Forget about your old, torn-out nbi clearance. you don't need them anymore. go to any nearest center here in metro manila and make sure you bring any government -ssued ID and you'll be fine. No hit, you can go home with your clearance. with HIT, it takes at least TWO WEEKS, not days. i met some people there with name hit and they were told to come back 1st week of Oct.

To those who applied sometime in july, i would suggest that you re-apply now. if you're lucky you can get it in 1-2 HOURS.

Go to Robinson's Otis if you're familiar with the place. Robinson's Place in Ermita is also serving and Robinson's GAlleria in Ortigas. But be sure to come early (if you can be there before 6 am much better). These centers accept a maximum of 500 applicants daily.

I have no idea about the main office in buendia but im sure it's always jam packed.

For those living outside of Metro Manila, sorry i know nothing about the centers there. But if you're having problem getting one there, come to the Metro.

Good Luck!

I don't think they are running additional checks because when she first applied back in July 2011 the problem was due to a computer glitch/upgrade the NBI was doing to their entire system, so a lot of people who applied during that time were told to expect their clearances first week of October. I told my fiancee that we needed it sooner than that, so she went to the San Fernando branch to inquire if they do same day approvals for NBI clearances... they told her no and if she reapply she will have to wait at least 35 days. So she declined to place a new application and wanted to just wait for her NBI clearance coming in October.

I want her to get it now, so that if there is any errors on her NBI clearance like a misspelled name or wrong birth date, that we have time to get it fix.

I'm going to talk to her in an hour from now and hopefully shes okay with going to the NBI main office in Manila to apply for her NBI clearance, since everyone states that she can get it within a day if she applies through there.

Yep, I heard the same thing from the Bacolod City office. She from Negros Occidental as well, so she was there a few weeks ago visiting family. She inquired about NBI clearances there and they told her the same thing.

Also, are you a recent RN board passer? My fiancee passed her board as well. She took her exam in July 2011. I'm so glad that part was over. She was so stressed out.

I never took the board exam in the Philippines as it would be a long process for me coz' I am a US citizen, I took the Nursing board (NCLEX) here in Vegas instead =) I advise her to go to iloilo and get her NBI clearance there if you are both on a rush coz' at iloilo (only 45 mins. ferry ride frm. bacolod) it takes only 1 day, my fiancee said that they are processing all NBI clearances from bacolod in manila because they are trying to update their system so they are doing it manually for the meantime. :star:

@maning--depends who you ask it seems. My fiancee had similar frustrations. In my fiancee's province: different answers have been given there, depending on who you talk to: "3 days" "3 weeks" "couple of months." She and I researched both here on VJ and dependable sources in her province and now Inday has her NBI--she received it in one day. So...Maning, it seems your fiance's best bet is to do the following: (1) First, have your fiancee go to local office, get in line very early a.m. and stand in line even if whole day, do apply and ***get the receipt*** (2) Next, take that receipt to Manila, go to either main NBI on Taft or go Robinson's OTiS and (a) show receipt obtained locally (b) show appointment letter for interview date if you have it by that time. Should have NBI clearance in 2 hours or so, perhaps less, if there are no hits. Good luck!! --RK and Inday

The process is simple if you go to main office they can interview you if the name was in hit list or they might ask you to get court clearance if the case filed near to your address or you have identical name. actually we are planning to go to OB trip to main office and look what seems to be the problem why it takes time to resend the data from our office yes our service provider before was not renewed that seems make this process takes longer time coz we are still in transition period but IT's are fixing this. if you apply in san fernando and reapply in main office the name will be still hit coz we are using same database. hope this can help. I just pass by and search if we have complaint so we can address this problem luckily I catch this forum.
