Waiting for Packet 4

Hi everyone

Congrats to all of you that have just booked interviews. I am soooo close. I sent my packet 3 to Montreal on Sep 3 but according to DOS it hasn't even been logged as received yet. What is the usual wait time between sending packet 3 and it being logged by Montreal? This process is going to give me a heart attack from all this uncertainty! ughhh

Thanks!!

How do you find out if Montreal has received everything? I have called NVC and the recording tells me that my case was completed on Sept 8 and if I don't receive anything in 8 weeks to call them then.

Is there a number to call in Montreal?

Thanks

I'm right there with you with the uncertainty. are you going through montreal? if so, Here is a number to call: 1-202-663-1225 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

and then press "1" then "0". They hardly will tell you anything but they might tell you if the packet 3 has been sent. If you had a lawyer it might get sent to the lawyer.. mine was just a regular envelope, but I am going to montreal consulate.

good luck!

Also, the instructions of what forms to prepare are right on the montreal consulate.. click on packet 3, .... and you can get started on them, if you haven't already.

Please do not be misguided: you must submit the 160 online and then send in the 160 confirmation with your packet. The instructions for this are confusing.

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I am in a similar situation, just found out from the DOS that Montreal has received our case from the NVC, and I am preparing my documents for the Pkt 3 without having received anything in the mail from Montreal.

I have everything listed to send back to the consulate, but the only thing I am missing is the first item on the interview checklist - the date of interview. Should I just check this off and send it back to Montreal?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry but you are talking to people who are doing K-1 and you are a spousal visa, you need to talk to NVC not Montreal. Spousal visas are booked through the NVC.

You need to talk to an NVC operator not the recording.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Checked my email tonight and there it was...my letter for my interview! Oct 27th.....and awesome, best birthday present a girl could ever as for! Called the hubby and he started to cry.

He is so tired of all this stuff. I can only keep praying that the waivers don't take forever that I have to file when I'm there!

Awesome night! Love it!

How long do I give Montreal to log my packet 3 before I start worrying? My tracking record shows it arrived in Montreal on Sep 7 but I just got off the phone with DOS and they say Montreal hasn't logged it yet!! :( I know they are slow but looking at other VJers timelines it should have been logged by now.
