Well, you know, I think - I still believe, I personally still believe that as a first step we need to be totally separated, and we can contemplate these issues in the future. But after the experience of the last 44 years of military occupation and all the conflict and friction I think it would be in the best interests of the two peoples to be separated at first.

He's saying that the illegal Israeli settlers need to go back home to Israel - to separate themselves from Palestine.

It seems you are not aware that Israel refers to The Wall as the "Separation Fence."

Now if you read a sentence that says something like; "The dog picked up the bone and then proceeded to chew on said bone." What does that sentence tell you?

Does it say the dog p*ssed on a hydrant and then attacked the mail man? Or does it say the dog picked up a bone and chewed on it?

Help me here seeing how I'm not up to par when it comes to reading English.

WASHINGTON – The Palestine Liberation Organization's ambassador to the United States said Tuesday that any future Palestinian state it seeks with help from the United Nations and the United States should be free of Jews.

He was responding to a question about the rights of minorities in a Palestine of the future.

Israel has 1.3 million Muslims who are Israeli citizens. Jews have lived in "Judea and Samaria," the biblical name for the West Bank, for thousands of years. Areikat said the PLO seeks a secular state, but that Palestinians need separation to work on their own national identity.

Google it. He said what he said. He can back tack all he wants, but when you say something like that when a blunt question is asked...it is what it is. Maybe he put his foot in his mouth, and he did say it's his own personal opinion...but he did answer that question with what was quoted.

I want to apologize for coming on so strong...but he did say what was quoted. Again it's in the link posted in the OP, and the link you posted.

For all it's worth, I hope that the Arab - Jew thing is eventually worked out in a good way for all. I doubt it will happen, but it's always a possibility.

Are you at all familiar with journalistic editing? There are editors out there who could manipulate everything you've said in this thread to come out saying you believe in the tooth fairy. It's an artform really. It sells newspapers, and context be damned if it means selling fewer papers. That's their bottom line more than anything else.
