Ok so as the above describes I have divorced from my ex husband (( the one in which I moved to the US to be with originally)) and have recently remarried and moved... changing my name in the process. It is my understanding that i should use the surname in which my green card is under on this form, I know there is a way I can change the name on the green card but I would like to go for my citizenship in the future so I don't feel the need to change it.

I'm just looking for conformation before I send off the form.

thanks :)

So am I understanding that you never AOS with the 1st husband? Yet you talk of GC so am not sure what you are up to as far as status goes? Did your now husband sponsor you for visa here? I was under the impression that you can only AOS through the person that sponsored you originally/ I may be wrong on this.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

I was married to my first husband for 5.5 years together the whole visa process was done with him from k1 to GC I was married to him for a few years after I received my GC. But it didnt work out, so we divorced and have both remarried. But my GC is in my old married name. So I was just making sure I was right in putting the name the usics knows me by and not my new married name on my AR-11 form.
