Change of Address during K3

Has anyone had to change their address during the K3 Visa process?

We have our NOA1 for the I129F (August 28th, 2006 date). Though I can still receive mail at old address (old roommate is happy to collect my mail), I'd have more peace of mind with it coming here. Only moved about 5 minutes from old place, so no state changes.

I guess my question is, does changing your address slow the process/cause hold ups? Anyone gone through this before?

Thank you!

wasabisnack,

If you can receive the mail at the address on your petition, I would not try to change it at this stage.

Why not wait until the package arrives in the NVC?

At that point, you can comfortably change the address with full confidence, that it will not interrupt (or muck up) the process.

I'm gonna be moving really soon and I hope it isnt a really big deal. I know all you have to do is fill out the change of address form, right people?

Pray with me Forrest! Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here..... Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here!

Well, you are entrusting the USPS to ensure continuity of your mail. USPS can be  unreliable.

Should be ok, but if someone is at the previous address and is willing to hold your mail, as the OP mentioned, that is ideal.

You were a lucky individual then. USCIS is not known for accurate information exchange, especially in the last 6 months.

I would suggest that if you can wait, the change of address should be conducted at the State Department level (NVC).

At the end of the day, it's "to each his/her own".
