Advice from MENA members who went through AOS?

Hello all,

I got married here in the US at the end of July, and on my tourist visa. Long story short, I met my husband online, we visited each other a few times where he came to Jordan and I came to the US, he reverted to Islam about a year ago. We have plenty of proof, pictures, family sworn statements from his side here since they were our witnesses and I've met them and see them regularly, joint bank account, we have a pet, etc. What kind of issues did you all face during the process? Please keep in mind I am adjusting from a tourist visa and my interview will be conducted here.

AOS packet received - 08/31/2011

NOA received - 09/6/2011
Biometrics appointment - 09/19/2011 - Done
RFE received - tax returns 2010 and original birth certificate - 9/19/2011

I didn't compel him to change, he converted around a year ago when we first met, he didn't follow any religion before then

I don't fore see a problem with your AOS, now not to sound anti MENA, "keep in mind, Im married to a MENA man" as I said I don't see you having a problem, you have strong evidence, and also your a woman. I'm sure I will get slammed for that comment, but understand please, Now if it was other way around, he was here on visitors visa, from Jordan, and married, etc etc, then maybe you would have a bit of a hard time, but with situation as it is, I see a good, easy process for you.

Please dont think I was being snobby, or mean, I truly was not.

I wish you the best on your journey with AOS.

Sent I-130 petition Sept. 27th, 2011 for CR-1 Visa.

Make sure your trays and seat backs are in their up-right positions, its going to be a hell of a ride on USCIS Airways.
