Hi Guys!!!!!!!

I visited Federal Plaza today. As I recieved I-751 Approval in mail last week. I made infopass appointment.

They took my approval letter+3pics+My old green card , and also they took fingerprint. They took my passport and told me to sit and around 2 hr waiting they called my name and when I went to window. One chineese lady gave my passport back and congrats me that I have become PR now. and explained me about new classification I have. Before it was CR6 and now its IR6. IR means she says Immidiate Relative. before it was conditional and also she said my 10yrs green card will come in mail with in 6 months. Now I have question. Bcoz I have checked my passport that time. I checked later. She stamped my passport stating this.

UPON ENDOREMENT, SERVES AS

TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING

PERMANENT RESIDENCY FOR ONE YEAR

ISSUE DATE:.............

OFFICER:...............................

EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZED

VALIED UNTIL................................

I checked my friend's passport it says something else.

Processed for I-551

TEMPORARY EVIDENCE OF

LAWFUL ADMISSION FOR

PERMANENT RESIDENCY

VALIED UNTIL................................

EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZED.

MY QUESTION IS ===== WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO STAMPS=========

DID THEY START STAMPING NEW STAMP WHICH THEY STAMPED ON MY PASSPORT....

The stamps mean the same thing. There must be two versions.

Actually I reseached online...and I found that since mid 2004 they have started new version of stamping passport. Like....They stamp like visa stamping it called (MRIV) Machine Readable, if you are coming from out side USA. I read same words on that visa which I had on my passport. But this is not Visa stamping. This is a simple stamp.
