Strange response from isl embassy

After having mailed them again and again...We finally got an answer from the Islamabad embassy....they say our cases ( me and my brothers) are not with them...they have no such record....seriously....??

Is this possible? Our interviews have been scheduled for October... NVC emailed us the interview letters two weeks back...

I'm unable to call them..I hear a recorded message every time....."testing 1 ,2,3,4,5....your call cannot be completed at this time".....

wait one more week , bcoz u said 2 weeks NVC transfer ur file give them 14 working days then call and check.... i am also from Islamabad but applied from Dubai , Islamabad process is slow so dont worry about that .

I agree with one person. Though u would have been scheduled to appear for an interview the embassy has no record of your case until the nvc sends them the CASE FILE.

my dear no need to worry ..same thing happend with me.. they got my file 10 days before my interview....

Got ds 3032 :23 March 2010

Interview : 09-09-2010 Result :Administrative Processing

In december 2010 priority dates retrogessed and wait priority date current again in

MARCH 2012 2nd

Medical submit :07 March 2012 Result :Administrative Processing

3rd Medical submit :28th Feb 2013 Result Administrative Processing

4th Medical submit :26th Feb 2014 Result :Got email reply from embassy that they will call me for finger prints and oath ..and still waiting Got call for finger prints and oath

on 12th MAY Went for finger prints and oath :21th May Result :ApprovedVisa Issued :22.05.2014

 

visa Issued Today after 3 years 8 months and 13 days

Green Card fee paid : 05/06/2014

Poe :17/06/2014

Ssn Received :27-06-2014

Green Card Produced and Mailed :07/22/2014

Your case has received by embassy but nobody hasn't review yet. Embassy will start reviewing your case file before 2 weeks of your interview date.

Just be patient.

Your case has received by embassy but nobody hasn't review yet. Embassy will start reviewing your case file before 2 weeks of your interview date.

Just be patient.

How do you know it was received by the embassy/consulate when you haven't tracked the whereabouts of the file?

Its just better to just call them....Here is a trick, whenever you call embassy and the phone says that your call cannot be completed at this time pleas try again later.. DO Not hang up the phone just listen to message and press 1 again (Or the number which you press to connect to Immigrant Visa Unit). You have to do this for a while until the phone connects to embassy but Hopefully that will help you.

Thank you everyone for your time ... We gave this a thought and have finally decided to let things stay as they are....we've dropped the rescheduling idea, seeing how slow things are..they would probably reschedule our interviews for nov/dec...

Thanks everyone...it's time to start preparing for the interview...wish us luck...
