Name on NOA different from the one written on petition

Hi...has anyone experienced on having different name written on their petition and the one written on NOA?

Please kindly share and what did you do about it?

14-02-2011 sent I-130 petition for my case and my son's case

07-07-2011 approved! (139 days)

NVC

03-08-2011 NVC received

03-08-2011 received NVC case # and IIN for my case

25-08-2011 received NVC case # for my son's case

01-09-2011 sent aos packages

07-09-2011 sent IV packages

13-09-2011 1st checklist

17-09-2011 2nd checklist with different request

20-09-2011 sent out the checklist requested

28-09-2011 CC for my case

01-10-2011 Received P4 for interview date on November 22

05-10-2011 CC for my son's case

08-10-2011 received P4 for son's case

Consulate

07-11-2011 Medical

09-11-2011 picked up the result, everything is good, thanks god!

22-11-2011 Visa APPROVED!

28-11-2011 Pick up the visa

what if the case is already at NVC, is it still possible to fix it? actually i just received a checklist for my son's I-864 form. NVC notified us that the biographic information in this part does not match the principal applicant of the associated petition. I suspected it was his name, they deleted his first name on NOA2 because he has 2 last name. My son's full name is Muhammad Kensan Aditya Putra (name written on petition) while on the approval that they sent to us is Kensan Aditya Putra. I've called NVC but unfortunately the person that we talk to was not very helpful and keep asking us to revise the form and send it back to them right away. :innocent:

Try to ask to speak with a Supervisor at NVC to see if they can help you regarding your problem, or at least help to point you in the right direction.

I hope you get this sorted out soon!

03/14/11: NOA1 via text and email (03/21/11: in the mail); petition routed to VSC

07/27/11: NOA2 via text and email (07/30/11: received in the mail)

08/01/11: Case received at NVC

09/19/11: Case complete and forwarded to consulate

10/19/11: Interview (APPROVED!!!)

11/18/11: POE

12/12/11: 2- year Green Card arrives in the mail

12/22/11: Applied for SSN at local office

12/26/11: SSN arrives in the mail

08/20/13: ROC window opens

10/03/13: I-751 package sent to Vermont Service Center

10/05/13: I-751 Delivered (Signed for by Karen Fitzgerald)

10/09/13: Check cleared bank account

10/11/13: NOA1 received (dated 10/07/13)

10/19/13: Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 10/16/13)

11/12/13: Biometrics appointment in Buffalo, NY

11/15/13: Case transferred to CSC

03/04/14: USCIS case status update: Card/Document Production (i.e. APPROVED!!!)

03/07/14: USCIS case status update: Green Card in the postal system; tracking number

03/08/14: Approval notice arrives in the mail (dated 03/04/2014; USCIS Office: Buffalo, NY)

03/10/14: 10-year Green Card arrives in the mail

Twice this happened to me at USCIS and NVC but with the incorrect spelling of name.

I sent in passport demographics and verified on original birth certificate to have it all fixed. but you NEED to call and get these things corrected ASAP!

Case #1: CR1 & CR2-Hubby & Kids
6/6/11...Priority Date
7/2011...NOA2 ~44 days
8/5/2011...NVC & IIN # Received
9/12/11... CR1 & Cr2 cases completed. ~37 days
11/4/11... CR1 & CR2 Interview APPROVED!!!
11/2011... POE

Twice this happened to me at USCIS and NVC but with the incorrect spelling of name.

Thank You for the response princess, i sent them my son's Passport Biographic Page last night and received a new checklist cover letter this morning but they didn't give us any checklist :unsure: confuse. And i noticed that they have my son's corrected but there's a checklist letter response/barcode...does it mean we still need to send them a new I-864 form or it's already clear?
