hi all vj'ers!

today me and my fiance are exactly 2 months in after getting our NOA1 hardcopy :) we filed at the VSC. im from vancouver B.C Canada, and my fiance who is petioning for me is from the U.S. ive noticed lately vermont has sped up quite abit lately in sending out the NOA2's along with noticing Alot of people are getting them within 3-5 months which is good news. we got our noa1 hardcopy july 15. our timeline says we should get our noa2 between november 7-20th (i know this is just an estimate and it may take much longer). but my question is, how do i know when to go in and get my police certificate and or documents? and how long are they good for here in canada? im not sure when i should be collecting these documents since we are 2 months in already.

any advice?

is there anything else i need to do or collect at this point other then the obvious evidence that me and my fiance are together and seeing eachother?

thank you very much!

It wouldn't hurt for you to look ahead at what documents are needed and make sure all your needles are up to date, etc. You will need your long form Birth certificate not just the little card, stuff like that. Look at the forms you are going to have to fill out and gather that info. Police checks are fast here, just make sure that it says right on the certificate that CPIC (or national database) was checked. Pass the time being proactive and getting your Ts crossed and your I's dotted. :) Best wishes for a speedy journey!
