co sponsor limits?

ok, so I'm a college student and do not meet the level of income and I understand the need for a co-sponsor, and I have a friend who is willing to help me with this, he makes way more than enough, however he has co-sponsored before for other two families (this happened like 4 or 5 years ago) can he still help me as well, or is there a limit to how many people he can co-sponsor?

The important thing is for the potential sponsor to determine who they are still "actively" sponsoring. Any person whose affidavit of support is still in effect is added to their household count for the affidavit of support.

The limit is only his income. If he makes enough to take care of his family member (he, his wife & children...), two previously sponsored members and your spouse, then he can be your co-sponsor. He needs to make at least 32,712 to cover 5 member (presuming his household is 2 - he and his wife) or 37,487 to cover 6 members if he has a child also.

They will become inactive after 40 quarters of continuous earnings - that almost 10 years those will be active. In your case your sponsor needs to count those two.

What do you mean by 3+2? Is he in that 3? If his family is 3 (he, his wife and a child), then he needs to cover 6 including those 2 and your wife - needs to make 37,487.

If the persons sponsored have become US citizens they are no longer counted. Take a look at the form I-864 and it will help you determine the household size. The form I-864P will show the income requirements (look at the 125% column).

Yes, once they become citizens, your sponsor can remove them from his I-864. But if he is making 43000 or more just don't bother about it.
