Have Hamas learned how to make bombs out of crayons now?

Apparently children's drawings are much more "explosive"... paper was also banned for a while.

Everything else is forbidden - including building materials (which are necessary to rehabilitate Gaza's ruins and rebuild its infrastructure), electric appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines, spare machine and car parts, fabrics, threads, needles, light bulbs, candles, matches, books, musical instruments, crayons, clothing, shoes, mattresses, sheets, blankets, cutlery, crockery, cups, glasses and animals. Many of the banned products are imported through the tunnels and can be found in Gaza's markets.

The main ingredients in crayons are paraffin and stearic acid.

You can use them to make smoke bombs (instead of the usual sugar/saltpeter combo.)

I disagree with the decision in part, but if your sample pictures are any example I could see where the museum might be uncomfortable. If all the art is similar to the examples it would not be difficult to imagine the poor kids could have been directed to a theme rather than spontaneous creation of this art.

Sorry to see the museum did not choose to show the exhibit.... Looking at the pictures it feels like total propoganda.. Sad to say it seems both sides have properly set up the next generation to hate each other and see themselves as total victims and the other side as pure evil.

Wow. The kids perspectives are amazing. It would be awesome to see the contrasts of their drawings with the drawings of Israeli kids. Even better would be then to see the contrasts with the spoiled brat kids we have here in this country.

My kids pictures from long ago included dinosours, a man talking into a microphone (I was a DJ at the time), and him and his friends in a circle playing a sega. Everybody is smiling in the pictures... A parent should feel happy if their kids are lucky enough to enjoy a good life. Ignorant people will always find a way to cast that in a negative light.

The images are quite startling, but news photos and video of the actual events support the children's depictions. And indeed, you never said they should be censored - God bless you for that.

I liked luckytxn's idea of an exhibit that also included Israeli children's art. Out of the mouths of babes...

I have not seen the images yet but I will try when I'm at home.. the kids on both sides are caught in the middle.. I'm sorry for the children, in both countries and all over the world.. this makes me sad.. no child should have to go through this, in my opinion.. God bless all children!!!!!!

I honestly wonder if you gave 50 boxes of crayons and 50 pieces of drawing paper to 50 random children of Gaza if you would get any of them spontaneously drawing the sample 'art works' without giving them direction and photos to draw from.

I honestly wonder if you gave 50 boxes of crayons and 50 pieces of drawing paper to 50 random children of Gaza if you would get any of them spontaneously drawing the sample 'art works' without giving them direction and photos to draw from.

Nothing is stopping you from conducting that experiment yourself.
