Ours was completed on the 9th.

Is there a difference between case closed and case complete?

When does the NVC sends the file to the appropriate embassy?

Congratulation. Case completed (at NVC) is the right one (Case Closed happens after all the processes are done - no further processing is required to be done).

NVC will now work with the US Consulate/ Embassy to schedule an interview. Once it is done and communicated to both of you, the case papers will be sent to the US Consulate/ Embassy.

For all of you that cases are complete, NVC will give you interview dates this week, until the 16th. They schedule it for the next month. So as long as your paperwork and all of your fees are paid by the 2nd week of the month you will get an interview for the following month.

Do you mean all materials received by NVC, or NVC complete the case by 16th of this month?

I already send every bit of needed documents to NVC, electronically. Does that means it is a certainty my wife will get an interview in October?

Thanks! How do you know if they have scheduled the interview? Will the AVR update when they have done so? Also, I keep reading posts where people are calling the operator to ask about interview dates. How long should I wait before calling?

Our case was completed Sept 1st. Yesterday I recieved an email from the NVC saying that the case has been forwarded to the embassy and they told me the interview date in the same email.

NVC has to have all of the documents and have the case reviewed and closed by the 16th of this month. If I were you, I would call them to make sure the electronic copies are accepted. I overnighted my paper work as soon as my fees were paid.

THe way it works is, every month they schedule the appointments on the 2nd full week of the month. You have to have all your fees paid and all the documents into NVC before this time.

On AVR it says case complete but I jut got RFE for police clearance.....dont know what to do......hope its false RFE...

Give them a call, wouldn't hurt....

Congratulations! Good luck!

Allah[swt] says: “You may have someone in your mind, someone in your heart, someone in your dreams, someone in your life, but I am your someone when you have no one"He[swt] reminds us saying "O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you."
