Packet 3 question

Hi all,

We had our I-129F approved on August 10, 2006 and are still waiting for Packet #3 to arrive at my wife's address. In your opinion, should we just wait or do you suggest we compile the DS-230 Part 1 application and fax this into the Embassy in Bogota?

If you suggest to move forward with downloading and filling out the DS-230 then fax into the embassy, then my question is: Do we need to generate a barcode for this form?

You gave no indication if NVC had already received and forwarded your petition to the embassy. We are also waiting for packet 3 and have been informed by the embassy that it was mailed out. This was about a week ago. I have heard of at least two couples who sent their 230 ahead of receiving their packet, with one couple stating that they were given an interview date sooner.
