Hello everyone,

My wife is a green card holder, and me and our 2 kids recently got our green cards approved under the f2a category.

We had originally planned to move to the USA together (my wife is currently with us in Holland), however due to some practical matters it seems that my wife and kids need to stay here for sometime, where as I would like to go immediately and begin my job hunt.

Can someone please advise if I am allowed to go through the POE all by myself?

I am planning to come back to Holland after about 6 weeks to help pack up etc. and then travel to the USA together.

No. The petitioner MUST be in the USA upon entry or travel there with u.

Thanks for the reply. Is there anywhere I can confirm this information? Only because I am hoping to avoid the expense.

sorry the delay. thought someone would have answered this by now. This requirement is noted on the FORM I-130 that was completed if you need confirmation

Thank you...in advance..

i am not able to find it ... it is no longer on the I-130 it was last revised/updated in January 2011 which i am sure was there afterwards. No at this point I will say i'm not able to support my answer and so would say it would be okay to enter without which seem to be a positive change if that is what it is. DCF filing went away and it seemed to have gone away along with it.. i assume.
