Trying to reschedule interview appointment online

Well, my fiancee and I are in the second week of her culture test. She had 3 months of treatment outside of SLEC and 3 months at SLEC (a whole other story - some of you may or may not know it!) She completed the treatment Sept 3, 2011 and had her final sputum collection and CXR Aug 31 and Sept 1, 2011. She was told to call back for sputum culture results on Oct 27, 2011.

We paid her VISA fees back around April 8, 2011 and scheduled her for interview online a few days later. We scheduled her for May 25th, 2011. She had her first medical exam in early May and they told her to come bask for sputum smear. Of course her interview for May 25th, 2011 was cancelled. She paid 15400.00 PHP then for the VISA fee.

Our problem now is that we are trying to reschedule her interview now that we know the call back date for her culture results. We want to schedule the interview about a week after that date. When trying to reschedule or schedule online we get stuck at the prompting for payment receipt number. It will not accept her passport number and gives this error:

"•No service fee can be found for the entered request number. Please validate your request number is correct and you have paid the correct amount for the visa you are applying[fiancee's passport#]"

It also gives this information:

Summary of Charges:

Number of Applicants 1 Fee Per Applicant USD 350.0 Current Exchange Rate43.00 PHP to 1 USDTotal Fee (1 x 350.0 x 43.00)PHP 15050.0

When we paid our VISA fees back in April 2011, she paid 15400.00 PHP.

So I want to ask:

-Has anyone rescheduled their interview appointment online while waiting for the sputum culture results - recently like in the last 30-60 days? Did you have success?

-Has anyone gone through the 6 months treatment, then rescheduled their interview appointment online while waiting sputum culture results - recently? (In case during the six months treatment the VISA fee expired or something - I reaching!!)

-Could it be the difference in fees since we payed that is causing the system to not find our payment?

I have reviewed all VJ posting I could find regarding rescheduling interviews and have read several different scenarios most of which are people trying to schedule for the first time. I have also read many posts from members who have mentioned they went thru the cutlure test wait and were negative and went back for immunizations and had their interview the next day or within a few days but they didn't post whether or not they rescheduled online while waiting for results, whether they waited for the results then rescheduled online, or whether SLEC rescheduled either during the wait for culture results or after. I was checking mostly more recent posts as in last 3 months or so because of the difference in fees we paid versus what the Embassy is posting now is the fee of 15050.00 PHP versus the 15400.00 PHP we paid 5 months ago.

Sorry. This is a lot but we really would rather schedule her now than wait until culture results are in and her medical completed because we don't want to get caught up in the US and Philippines Holidays and vacations during the November and December months and end up with interview in January 2012 maybe!

Oh I sent e-mail to IMMIGRATION VISA UNIT US Embassy of Manila yesterday, just kinda asking if there is problem with the the VISa payment from April 2011. I used e-mail link from this site.

Any assitance here, any experiences shared would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know the answer to your question. I just wanted to mention that rescheduling the interview for those who are underwent the two-month culture and/or TB treatment used to be something that St. Lukes took care of. Recently, it seems that they have changed their policy and now require you to reschedule your own interview.

I'm glad you emailed the Embassy about it. I hope you post their answer here. I'm guessing it may have something to do with not having completed the culture yet.

Yeah, I know. That's what puzles us even more. I see where you have inquired about it many times in other posts about the culture tests and rescheduling.

Thanks for the response and if I find an answer from Embassy or otherwise I will surely post here.

i have read your worries and i have the same problem before but in a different scenario but it may help you anyway.

Why not try to email GSSManila@state.gov, state your case, they might respond to you. In my knowledge

the visa fee that you have paid is valid for a year. Good Luck!!!!

@Derrick...I didn't mention it in my previous post, but I'm fairly certain that you won't lose your visa fee. I have never seen a case here on VJ where the visa fee was lost due to the amount of treatment time at St. Lukes.
