At least you landed in one piece. I was in three, yes, three plane crashes in the interior, walking away each time, thank God. But, ya, the drinking thing can get in the way of proper flying, as it does for so many things up there

Now that should tell you something right there. Three crashes and your still in one piece. That's when you buy a lottery ticket and give up on the flying.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I would think that after being in 3 plane crashes that buying a lottery ticket will not be good.blink.gif

This is it in a nut shell to me. It is what I want every American to realize can happen to all of us. If we demonize all of a certain people now then how long before we ourselves are demonized? These laws that have been put in place to keep us safe supposedly can be used against ANYONE. I remember when the Patriot act happened that we heard that if we are doing nothing to cause the Feds to come after us then why worry? The reason we have to worry is that when the constitution can be ignored for the supposed good then a line has been crossed that makes it seem OK to trash any part of that document.

Somebody gets it.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I had to explain this to someone. I wish I could use all that money to further educate folks.

I personally think that most Muslims are just like us. Hard working, God fearing, family types, that just want to live a good life and try our best to do good. At the least the few Muslim families in my neighborhood does and they also come to the same B.B.Q., same events and we all talk about the same things. I have seen none with horns or rant and scream about Jihad. A few weeks ago a couple that used to come over and join said that they stopped because of the very few Muslims started joining us. I was proud of a friend that I would least expect to say this but he said, "well you are not missed at all and they were more than welcome to join us." I concurred and said that to please stay away when I next host the B.B.Q. Besides he always brought the most crappy beer and Omar always brings the good beer.

"But they're just not like us. They're different."

I wish people were as distrustful of their government as they were of Islam.

Spinning out of control in a car is no fun,

Your kidding right? What could be more fun than spinning out of control in a car. I miss the snow. I do feel true regret for the mailboxes I have accidently taken out.

We used to do that in the hay fields, after the first rains. Ah,yes, nothing like the smell of burning mud in the afternoon!

We used to do the ol "e-brake" in the parking lots when we were younger...that was always fun. It's those unexpected times when you hit black ice and start doing 360's praying that you don't eat a tree or worse yet another car...those ones suck.

I remember bucking a lot of hay when I was a kid, but if we ever got caught tearing up the pasture we would have been done for. Picking shrooms in the pasture during fall time ftw!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I had my drivers license about 10 days and was taking my best friend to the DMV to take his test in my dad's stationwagon. We were cruisin along on a 3 lane highway and just going the speed as

everybody else. Suddenly buckets of rain started pouring down. All the other drivers backed off their speed immediately. I remember thinking (for about 2 seconds) "what a bunch of wuzzes".

Then we slid one way and I over corrected and pretty soon we were going backwards at about 70 miles per hour. I was staring at the guy behind me and he was staring at me. He was balding and

had a black mustache and his face was very white. Since everyone else had the sense to slow down I had the whole 3 lanes and the shoulder to myself. I spun out my momentum and and just at

the last second the rear corner of the car touched the siderail. So there was a very small dent.

Honesty being the best policy, I told my dad I backed into a guardrail at BurgerKing.:innocent:

I decided that this was due to a lack of experience. So after that I spun every chance I got.
