Do I receive the naturalization certificate on the day of the oath taking or they will mail that to me days/weeks after the oath taking? I was hoping I could have it in my hand on the day of oath taking itself so I can upgrade and notify the Visa Center the next day right away to upgrade petition for my family.

Carefully read it for errors before you leave, if you walk out the door with errors, would add 400 bucks and another years late.

At our last oath ceremony, after listening to some misinformation what to do afterwards, about 15 minutes of watching videos on a 27" TV set with a distorted blaring 2" speaker, they passed out the certificates and were told to walk out the door. Stopped my stepdaughter and said, let me read that first, was okay. It was the most memorial service of my life, definitely worth the 450 mile drive during a snow storm.
