I am F1 too. My dad petitioned for me and my PD is Aug. 14, 2006. I know it's going to be a while but try to keep my hopes up. I am not doing consular processing but instead adjustment of status since I am in the US now.

I don't think it'll be much longer. Are you done with your AoS, DS3032, DS230, etc? you might want to prepare for those in advance so you can file the moment it arrives...My gut feeling is that it won't take much longer because it actually retrogressed since last year.

I got my GC based on an F2B which later converted to an F2A. It took close to 10yrs during which I tried applying for the DV unsuccessfully. My GF who is a first time applicant got selected for DV2015! We're keeping our fingers crossed.

NVC contacted me in June 2010 for DS3032 and DS230 etc. before the retrogression and since I was and have been here in U.S. so I have to do AOS instead. NVC doesn't do AOS so they said they will hold my file until USCIS requested for it after I file for AOS. So I really hope that it will be sooner than later that my PD will be current. Pray for me raverz!
