Immigration Medical Question

Hi

I am curious to know what happens to the information that was gathered at the medical examination that was part of the K1 process in order to enter the US on a K1 visa. I know that when I came over I had to hand over an envelope to the Port of Entry Immigration officer, however I am curious to know where it goes from there. Is there a way you can obtain these records for your regular doctor. For instance, i had to prove which vaccinations I had had before being able to enter the US, but I do not have any proof of this on my end as it was all done through the London Doctor I had to go to. Does anyone know if there is a way this information is forwarded onto your regular doctor once in the US or if there is a way to obtain it at all? I would think that given it is medical information about you then you should have the right to the information I just do not know how to go about obtaining it.

The information is not forwarded on at all. You have no options to get the medical or anything. It goes on file with USCIS.

You should have gotten a copy of the vaccination portion from the immigration medical.

i think I did for a portion of it but things like the HIV test that was done obviously i did not as that took several days for them to get the results on.

I was given a copy of my vaccination record plus at my embassy interview I was given a CD with a chest x-ray on it. The civil surgeon here told me just to give that to my doctor when I found one.
