No, you don't need to provide any consent. Your wife, even if she is a LPR, should have no problems traveling with your USC son.

At most, maybe have her travel with a copy of your marriage certificate and your son's birth certificate. Other than that, I can't possibly imagine anything else Philippines would require.

Have a safe and happy trip to the Philippines! :thumbs:

Both good tips... My wife traveled twice with the baby to the PI (same situation as you) in the last year in the last year.

She did have a notarized travel letter from me... However, no-body asked for a letter or questioned her regarding the

babies US passport.

I agree that it would be a good idea to have a letter, just in case. I know that whenever my mom would travel with my brothers and I into the US from Canada, without our father, she would carry a letter. I think they asked for it once. You just wouldn't want any problems.

While the child is travelling on a US Passport there will be no problem...

Before a US Passport will be issued to a minor both parents have to sign consent.

Either parent can cancel that consent at which point there will be a hold notice put on the child's passport and they wouldn't be allowed to travel.


Must have info for bringing your Philippine wife/fiancee's child to the US
