Whats the question?? Divorce and Islamic law,? thats easy, if you want to go home, gather your evidence, submit it to your court and get divorce on grounds of breach of contract..

If you stay here, then here is no fault divorce . just go file for divorce..Is there kids involved?

Shoulder to cry on? sorry brother, pick up, brush off, learn and move on. Welcome to Goras world.. win some ,loose some its all a big gamble here. and sometimes that is the beauty of it..

Peace

Maybe he's trolling, maybe he isn't. It is true that Morocco takes forever to approve a marriage visa, so long that some come here on the IR1. It has been my experience in another forum for many wives to give their husbands access to their e-mail accounts too. I doubt that this is the first time that he was suspicious of her, probably just the first that she got so careless.

Not having a timeline is also pretty common for the non-usc spouse from a non-English speaking country.

I also say get a good divorce attorney. Ironically, his story sounds like the other side of a story I heard recently of a newly arrived husband abandoning his wife and not telling her where he is, only calling to check in because he says he is afraid of her.

While those from countries like England and Australia may have a better grasp of our legal system, they need to realize that for some who come here they feel totally dependent on their spouse and very afraid of everything around them.

If he just got here and has no clue how to find work, or truly loves her and is totally distraught, it is not that unusual for him to sound like he did. I've seen both of my sons go through horrible breakups and first love for a man can be very painful to let go of.

It's also not uncommon for someone to cheat when they are apart for a long time. I live in a town with 3 military bases in or close to it and I can tell you that normal couples who are both USCs cheat even when the man is off at war somewhere!

I helped a lcoal lady get her husband here from ALgeria ( she was ohh hes soo cute, young and nice yada married for all the wrong reasons, then found out that his lack of knowledge, experience away from family, un easy of surroundings and culture etc. was a burden to her, basically threw him out), he went through similar situation..ended up going back home. . He was upset because his family took her into thiers and had the wedding there and all...embarassed to go home with head down

And that cheating thing being common thats a cop out and bull #######...There is no exscuse for such betrayal. You are committed to your life partner or your not.( ie those who are able are bound by working on keeping the family together and secure) Islamic marriages arent about me, me, me its about the whole couple and family..Many wait for years for thier life partner never touching another. You either want to be a part of the collective whole, or just go it alone, cant have cake and eat it to. SAme with those boys who go to war, wives get lonely wah, try living in the desert in a tent. maybe they should have some Islamic law here..Oh well, all will have to be called on the carpet someday for thier discresions.

Whether this person is a troll or not, I wholeheartedly disagree with the responces. When a spouse cheats, the first thing you do isn't go to a lawyer. Blahhh! Work through it. Why did it happen. It is hard to forgive, but it is worth it. It is easy to run and put your head in the sand. (F)

isn't it funny that he hasn't come back to acknowledge any comments.

that may be because he was hurt by some of the comments or because he was indeed a troll.

i'm not pointing the finger, just making an observation.

While I agree with the opener of this part, the conclusion you draw is utterly ridiculous. Are you indeed suggesting that anyone but Muslims can't maintain a faithful marriage? Wake up, girl! If any such generalization can be made at all, it would appear to be a cultural rather than a religous issue as the sanctity of marriage is quite intact in many non-muslim parts of the world. ;)

Seeing a lawyer is the second thing that you do. First you work thru the problem with a six pack of beer, and when you finish it, you see the lawyer.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Yes it ranks up there as a major atrocity, think about it..

How would you like it or do if husband or wife brought someone else into your home , bed and marriage.. the chaos it would create.Go to others and people say" oh well '"####### happens"" sorry for your luck".. would not be so easy to get over. Im almost in agreement with desert fox here. Seeing that is about the only option allowed.
