I am not quite sure what is happening in my life, Jon and I are getting divorced, I agreed to it a couple of weeks ago and all the papers were put in the court. Non contestable, I did not want to upset anyone, I will be going home on the 7th October.

Janice

I really hate to her that Jon and Janice. Love is such a wonderful thing and sharing a life and love with someone is one of the best gifts there is in life. I wish you both the best and much happiness.

Always look to the silverlining, at least it is not going to turn into a big $ divorce and you get to go home with your kids now.

7-3-06 GREEN CARD ARRIVES IN MAIL!!!! Done for two years!!!!!!

I am here to help, even if it's just to offer my shoulder to cry or vent on... We are all in this together.!

My answers are based on personal experience, not fact.

We are on this rollercoaster ride together holding on for dear life.

Thank you everyone, as most here know I do not like to make a fuss really, so the divorce will be as painless as possible, Jon has not got much so really there is nothing for us to argue over which would not be productive to either party, we thought that this was the best route to go, we made a mistake that is all, as for the children well I know it will be a battle but as people have said in the past I need to get some guts inside of me and not let the ex beat me down. Once again thank you.

Janice you haven't been gone all that long. Wes says you'll probably have to contact Inland Revenue - maybe go there first. And go to the Social Security office to claim your benefits. He says you might need to go to Citizens Advice in person - maybe make a phone call before you go back.

He just handed me this:

HMRC.gov.uk

That's the Inland Revenue website.

Their phone number is 0191 2257441.
