It is surprising they are still working on August at CSC! I can relate that it sure is frustrating when you're past the 5 month mark.

We called today and they confirmed they only received the 2nd package, which is totally fine since it was the bigger one with more stuff. However, we never received any e-mail notification that it was received, and the status hasn't been updated since Jan 4th when the RFE was sent out. I still don't feel convinced that it is attached to the file. :( I wish the workers were more uniform in the way they processed each application, in that every time an update to the file takes place, it is noted. Our file hasn't been touched since Jan 4th either! And if they received it and reunited it with the file... shouldn't that be a touch? :S

I hope you are right and we do hear something soon....

If you got a notice that they received your RFE response... that is a touch, may not show up on their website but nothing new there.

Did you download the forms and instructions sheet? Print the instructions out, read them too many times then start the form, luckily this is a fairly simple deal. Gathering the supporting documents is the most difficult part. Remember to SIGN and DATE IT....

This is what I was expecting, however, no notice in sight.....

But congratulations to the other couple that was approved! I was thinking of getting a Congressman involved... But unsure on how to go about doing that.

It is so good to see that some September dates are getting approved now! My husband and I have been worrying about what is going on. We rec'd our NOA1 on Sept. 15th. So it's now been 5 months and 21 days! I'm going to call and ask about our case. Do you think we should get my congressman involved or wait a little more for that?

CSC Process

9/12/11- Sent out I-130

9/15/11- Rec'd NOA 1

3/6/12- 5 months 21 days- Still waiting for NOA 2 :/

3/7/12- Called USCIS- say they are back logged and to wait 30 to 45 more days :(

3/27/12- NOA 2 Approved!!(194 days from NOA 1 date)

Have you called USCIS yet? That should be your first move. If they state they are working on "such as such" date and its before your date then calling your congressman won't do much good as that is the answer they will give the congressman also. Last I read they were stating they are working on August... Ya I know they are spitting out September and even October, I'm just saying what I have read they have told others.

Call USCIS see what they say first.

Thanks so much for the advice! Going to call them tomorrow to see what they say. Crossing my fingers that things will happen sooner than later!
