Does anyone know how long a “Certified Criminal Record Check" done by the RCMP is good for? My fiance has one that is about 6 months old but we haven't even filed yet. By the time they request it a year may have gone by. Thanks for your help.

Police report needs to be dated as close to the interview as possible.

They are only good for 6 months in Canada, 1 year for immigration.

May I ask what you mean by, "1 year for immigration" - does that mean the US embassy in Canada will take then for one year past date of issuance?
